Dealing with component diagrams in Papyrus
  • Create component
  • Create realization classes
  • Add port
  • Create component diagram
  • Known issues

  •  Create component

Create a component in class diagram and specify the interfaces that are realized and/or used.

     Create realization classes

Define the classes that implement or used the interfaces. These classes will be used to type the ports of the component.

     Add port

Add ports to the component and type them with classes previously created.

     Create component diagram

Create a component diagram and drag your component and its port from the outline into the diagram.

To show the interfaces, select a port, then in the property view, select the interface to show and click the button above the interface list in property to add it in the diagram.

Add a dependency between required and provided interfaces to link component one to each.

     Known issues

Following issues will be corrected in future versions :

    • moving port with apparent interfaces does not function very well
    • cannot show and interface directly linked to a component (must be linked to a port)
    • cannot connect the same interface on itself when it is both provided and required
