From Papyrus 1.6, you can add functionnalities by adding popup menu. You can download slides for more explanations.

You can also download this example that displays the name of the selected element in a dialog.

Enclosing your profiles and/or model libraries in plug-ins

Enclosing your profiles in plug-in simplifies their deployment and makes them easily accessible from every model in your workspace. Such enclosed profile are then available for selection with the "apply registered profile" button in Papyrus property view (more).
