Papyrus for SysML

Papyrus for SysML is now an Eclipse project!

In year 2009, Papyrus UML joined some other open source initiatives and became an Eclipse project. One of the goals of this project is to provide a complete support to SysML in order to enable model-based system engineering. It includes an implementation of the SysML static profile and the specific graphical editors required for SysML.

 Overview

The UML Profile for Systems Engineering (in short SysML) has been defined by the OMG (http://www.omgsysml.org/) to be a new general-purpose modeling language for systems engineering. SysML has been designed using the light-weight extension mechanism of UML, i.e. a UML profile.

The purpose of this papyrus add-in is to provide the ability within the tool to describe SysML-like models using this profile. It implements all the stereotypes and related properties as defined in the SysML specification V1.1 (formal/08-11-02) and may be applied on any kind of UML models build within Papyrus.
